Oad and the environment

The coach as an environmentally friendly means of transport
What would be the most environmentally friendly way of travelling? Putting the environment central has conducted a study in which it became apparent that the coach is the most environmentally friendly way to travel. The comparison was based on the environmental impact per traveller and in this respect the effect of various modes of transport was calculated.

What we do for the environment
Each day we are confronted with the effects of CO2 emissions, noise pollution and the growing number of traffic jams. We are very much aware of the fact that Oad can contribute to addressing this problem. The company continuously invests in new technologies. The modern coaches meet the latest regulations. In this respect all coaches have, at least, a Euro five or six engine. They produce less greenhouse gas, fewer nitrogen oxides and less particulate matter compared to regular engines.

But we do much more to further reduce CO2 emissions. We organise training courses for our drivers in respect of ‘Eco-driving’ and use 100% green energy via a selectively chosen energy supplier. In collaboration with this supplier we continuously look to further reduce the use of energy. Examples are LED lighting, energy-efficient HR boilers and automatic lighting.

Being aware of the environment and staying aware of it is one of the spearheads of our company.
